“Fashion matters! It all started when in my childhood with a sense of curiosity and love of the 60’s movies. I loved the idea of a world where we could play dress up and be whomever we want to play. I think subconsciously it sank in and there was the beginning of House of Thairu. How you are dressed places you in a certain group or time. This is why androgyny fascinates me so much we would like to paint this new face where we combine both male and female while disregarding dated notions of what masculinity or femininity should look like or feel like. They project the heart of style to those who choose not to conform.“

“Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy, but mysterious. But above all black says this: I don’t bother you, don’t bother me.“
–Yohji Yamamoto–

“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes because that is the doorway to her heart.“
–Audrey Hepburn.-

“Fashion you can buy, but the style you possess. The key to style is learning who you are, which takes years. There’s no how-to roadmap to style. It’s about self-expression and, above all, attitude.“
–Iris Apfel–

“What do you think an artist is? …he is a political being, constantly aware of the heartbreaking, passionate, or delightful things that happen in the world, shaping himself completely in their image. Painting is not done to decorate apartments. It is an instrument of war.“
